One of my school projects. My idea was to create a set of vintage-style novelty wrapping paper designs that were more random and less cutesy than what one usually finds.

 

Like a lot of my work,  each pattern was created from scanned bitmap images which were then assembled in Adobe Illustrator.

For whatever reason, I felt towards the end of the term that the marching monks  didn’t quite fit with the overall style, so I created the little “Beardsley Men” (top right) to replace them. A view of the finished product, including gift bags as in the same pattern.
