Finally getting into the photoshop template game, and wishing that I’d made the effort sooner! This beauty is a combination of two elements: the comet itself is based on the medieval depiction of Halley’s comet, from the Bayeux Tapestry, and the overall style is based on Eastern European matchbook art from the fifties and sixties. An extremely satisfying and enjoyable project to carry out. I’ve always been intrigued by this very stylized way of drawing a comet, and felt that it would be perfect for a fifties//sixties treatment. Three-color pallets are also my favorite, and this project gave me an excuse to use my absolute favorite combination. Hat tip to https://www.graphicpear.com/ for the free mockup template.
