This was a quick illustration job I did for my friend Brett, a musician. He wanted a fairly straightforward lumberjack, for possible use as a t-shirt promotional.

Like a lot of my work, this is a simple bitmap scan placed into Photoshop and edited from there. I also created a vectorized version in Illustrator so that he’d have a scaleable file for larger projects.

Thankfully Brett was very clear on what he wanted, so there was minimal time spent narrowing down thumbnail ideas. I don’t know if he ever made use of the design, but if you’re interested in his music, you can find it here.
